What to expect at a Sunrise meeting
6:45 a.m. · Breakfast and fellowship
Grab a plate and a cup of coffee, and find a seat at any table. Someone will introduce themselves before you sit down.
7:00 a.m. · Club business
Announcements, the Pledge, the Four-Way Test, a few good-natured “fines” for charity, and recognition of members.
7:20 a.m. · Program
A guest speaker from business, government, education, or a local nonprofit. In lieu of a gift, we donate a book in the speaker’s name to a local school library.
Meetings end by 8:00 a.m. Dress is business casual. Guests eat free the first time.
Missed a meeting?
Attendance and participation are at the heart of Rotary, and there are plenty of ways to make up a meeting you had to miss:
- Visit another Rotary club (see the District 5790 club directory)
- Attend a club committee or board meeting
- Work on a club project or attend a club social
- Complete an online make-up at Rotary eClub One
Board meetings
The Sunrise Rotary board meets monthly at 7:00 a.m. at the YMCA North Arlington. All members are welcome to attend, and attending a board meeting counts toward the Red Badge program for new members.
