Join Rotary
Rotary is where neighbors, friends, and leaders come together to create positive, lasting change. There is a seat for you at our Friday table.
Why Rotary
Four good reasons to join Sunrise Rotary.
Friendship
Sixty-plus members from every walk of life who become genuine friends. Fridays are the best part of the week.
Service
Hands-on projects that you can point to: flags on your street, a playground your kids play on, a scholarship with a student’s name on it.
Leadership
Chair a committee, join the board, or run a project. Rotary is a place to grow the skills you use at work and at home.
Global reach
You join 1.2 million Rotarians and 35,000 clubs worldwide working to promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, support education, and grow local economies.
How to join
It starts with breakfast.
- Visit a meeting. Come as our guest on any Friday at 6:45 a.m. No invitation required.
- Meet the members. Come back a few times and get to know us. Ask questions about the projects that interest you.
- Complete a membership proposal. A current member will sponsor you and help you complete the proposal form.
- Get your Red Badge. New members are paired with a mentor and work through our Red Badge program to earn their permanent Blue Badge.

Morgan Kenyon (second from right) turns in his Red Badge for a Blue Badge, joined by mentor James Watson, Membership Director David Berg, and President Alan Walter.

What membership looks like
Weekly meetings
Fridays at 6:45 a.m. We value attendance, and make-ups are easy: visit another club, work a project, or attend a committee meeting.
Dues and fines
Dues cover breakfast and Rotary International membership. Fun “fines” at meetings go straight to Arlington charities.
Projects and events
Flag routes on six holidays, community events, blood drives, holiday families, scholarship interviews, and plenty of socials.
Our compass
The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say, or do:
1
Is it the truth?
2
Is it fair to all concerned?
3
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
